Joni B. Redick-Yundt, Financial/Insurance Professional, CEO of FAMES Hawaii and a three time author, was recently selected for the Top Influential Business and Community Leader of the Year for 2021 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP).

Joni B. Redick-Yundt has been selected as Empowered Woman of the Year for 2022. This award from the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) recognizes her exemplary role as a female professional and inclusive leader, demonstrating her influence, capability, and proficiency.

Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself, only one man and one woman are selected as Visionary of the Year.

These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, contributions to their communities and have consistently added visionary leadership to their industries. All honorees are invited to attend IAOTP’s Annual Awards Gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.

Joni is being recognized for having decades of professional experience in various industries. She is the CEO and Founder of FAMES Hawaii, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to Mentoring, Educating, Motivating, and Leadership Development for entrepreneurs and business owners in Hawaii. She has worked with and aided businesses towards greater levels of performance for the last 17 years. FAMES Hawaii sets out to empower individuals to achieve business and economic success while learning to contribute back to society. Through business networking and a robust mentoring program, FAMES Hawaii helps to level the playing field and provide improved opportunities by giving the knowledge to succeed and creating strong community business leaders. Additionally, she is the Owner and Executive Director of Miss. Paradise Hawaii, Miss Oahu, & Miss Waikiki Scholarship Pageant. Prior to her successful career as an entrepreneur, Mrs. Redick-Yundt enjoyed 20 years in a nursing career while concurrently being a professional beauty consultant and Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics. It wasn’t until the tragic events that took her sister and nephew’s lives that she turned to a finance and insurance career to help people prepare for life-altering events.

The president of IAOTP, Stephanie Cirami, stated “Choosing Joni for this award was an easy decision for our panel to make.  She continues to shine as a top leader in her industry. She is a well-rounded leader, shows extreme determination, and is passionate about empowering other business professionals. We look forward to honoring her at this year’s Gala.”

As an empowering force, Joni is also a three-time Author. Her books include: “Million Dollar Attitude,” original and 2nd editions, and “It’s All About Attitude, Still Sexy at Sixty.” Her books are designed to uplift and motivate the reader to overcome obstacles and challenges and how to make time to fill each day with as much joy as possible. Joni was also a contributing author for the book “ALOHA The Message of Hawaii”.  Inspired by Oprah Winfrey, since 2007, Joni produced and hosted the ‘Joni Show’, a talk show format featuring business and community leaders, as well as unique and extraordinary individuals.

Throughout her illustrious career, Joni has received awards, accolades, and has been recognized worldwide for various accomplishments and honors. Over the past two decades, Joni routinely received awards for the Million Dollar Roundtable, Leader’s Club, Centurion Club, and Outstanding Achievement in Field Management. She was crowned Mrs. Honolulu International in 2001 and Mrs. Hawaii United States in 2002. Also, in 2002, she was US SBA Businesswoman Advocate of the Year and the American Heart Association, Queen of Heart, 1st place winner. In 2005 she was listed as Fastest, Record-Breaking Chapter of BNI (Business Network International) in Hawaii & Top 5 International, among 5000 chapters in 37 countries. In 2006 she was named Top Five Most Intriguing Person in Hawaii by ‘In Magazine.’  In 2008 she was named Pacific Business News Volunteer Woman of the Year, top 10 among 1000 nominees, and in 2010 the Top Outstanding Filipino Abroad (TOFA), Top 20 out of thousands of nominees. She was US SBA Business Champion of the Year in 2014 and has been listed with Marquis Who’s Who in America for 2021, and Who’s Who of American Woman for 2020 and 2021.

Looking back, Joni attributes her success to her positive attitude; her favorite saying is “Believe and Achieve; With a Million Dollar Attitude, anything is possible; Positive Attitude + Positive Action = Positive Result.” In her free time, Joni loves spending time with her two children, three grandchildren, and her blessed husband Tom, an International Aviation Consultant. She and Tom enjoy walking on the beach, going to the movies, and working out. In the future, she hopes to continue to set and achieve her goals both personally and professionally and continue to empower young women and entrepreneurs all over the world.
